Potentox is a novel fixed dose combination(FDC) for the treatment of mixed multibacterial infections which cause fatal diseases like Pneumonia, Febrile Neutropenia etc.

Why do we need FDC like POTENTOX ?
Diseases like Pneumonia, febrile neuropenia, are the most fatal diseases worldwide. There is no well defined treatment for any of these diseases. It is mainly because the cause is mixed multibacterial infections. In an endeavour to find solution for tough diseases, a team of scientists at VENUS MEDICINE RESEARCH CENTRE studied the trend, the cause, the treatment & the reason for failure of different regimens worldwide. Scientists at VENUS MEDICINE RESEARCH CENTRE have been working hard for finding solution to combat antibiotic resistance by strengthening the action of existing antibiotics by modifying them.
For this purpose, different FDC (Fixed Dose Combinations) are being researched to give a unique drug. One such example is Cefepime plus Amikacin developed by VENUS REMEDIES LIMITED and is being marketed under the brand name POTENTOX.

Potentox is supplied as follows:
Each vial of 2.5g of Cefepime and Amikacin is filled in USP –1 vial, plugged with halogenated plug and flip off seal, packed in unit cartoon along with solvent.
Each vial of 1.25g of Cefepime and Amikacin is filled in USP –1 vial, plugged with halogenated plug and flip off seal, packed in unit cartoonalong with one vial of solvent.
Each vial of 0.625g of Cefepime and Amikacin is filled in USP –1 vial, plugged with halogenated plug and flip off seal, packed in unit cartoon along with 1 vial of solvent.
Storage
Cefepime and Amikacin in the dry state should be stored in cool and protected from light and moisture.
